Lens Artists Photo Challenge #404 – B

It’s funny how six months have passed by, only to find subjects that begin with the letter B in my photo gallery from January this year.

Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa in Dubai

I visited Dubai in January 2026 for the LANY SOFT WORLD TOUR. It was my second visit to DXB for a concert, and I got to see the Burj Khalifa face-to-face again. Pinch me.

A real up-close view of the tallest structure in the world will always be a wonder in and of itself.

How did I get this up-close photo-op with no people in the background?

I bought a ticket to access the Boardwalk for the Dubai Fountain Show. Was it worth it? As a solo traveler, my answer would be yes, as confidence and a self-timer photo are key for nice photos. LOL

As I’ve mentioned, this was my second time in Dubai for a concert, and it was also my second time staying at the Rove City Walk. The hotel offers a spectacular view of the Burj Khalifa and is located right next to the Coca-Cola Arena.

The view from Rove City Walk, the hotel I stayed in, is stunning. Imagine having coffee in their pool area or waking up to such a beautiful day. I am truly beyond blessed. (P.S: The last two selfie photos were from my first stay, link attached.)

Six months have passed, and I long to visit DXB. I am anticipating more concerts to attend and explore UAE beyond Dubai. Which also reminded of the news about UAE launching a Visa-on-Arrival rule for Filipino passport holders.

Importantly, praying for long peaceful relationship around Gulf area.
