Tumalog Falls: The Fruit of Hiking

Follow nenskeis on WordPress.com

Four hours of travel from the city is just the beginning of an adventure if you are heading to Tumalog Falls in Oslob, Cebu. If you don’t have a car and you are taking a bus, the bus-driver will drop you off exactly to the Tumalog Falls stop sign. From there you can take a motorcycle-taxi (or what we called habal-habal) to one of the wonders of Cebu, the Tumalog Falls.

The habal-habal ride will only take 10-15 minutes uphill to reach the drop-off point then from there, you can start to hike down to see the Tumalog Falls. It is highly recommended to hike down this time. Don’t worry, the descent is not that scary! 😜

This road going down to the beautiful falls is just a piece of cake for people who are into hiking and have perfect stamina. Poor me! For those who are wondering, like me, which road do I need to take to get there? In the photo below, will you look and see what heavenly reward you can have? 😉

After this (photos above) part, the rocky road is next, so you better wear whatever footwear you know you are comfy in during these not-so-hike moments. 😛 Well then, here’s our reward after those moments of struggle (for me).

We arrived here late afternoon, so while we were going down, people were already heading home. We kinda owned the place for a moment. LOL. The waterfall here is so refreshing. Promise! 😉
