It started in 2014, I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence or what but I think it just became my habit coming back in Cebu every September. Can I put the blame on The Maze Runner movie? LOL. We also watched the Scorch Trial in 2015 and went to Moalboal but I haven’t blogged about it cuz I simply went MIA in blogging during those times.
But just a sneak peek, here are my Cebu 2015 adventure. Allow me, please. 😂 I only grabbed these from my uploaded photos on Facebook.
So last year, a not so over September, I traveled to Cebu for our planned trekking to Sirao together with Reyjan’s colleagues. I was ready, mentally ready and I hope physically too. Haha. It’s just a matter of mind power. LOL
As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, myBus is really way cheaper to commute from Airport going to Cebu City. Have luggage? No problem, the bus is spacious as well.
We aim to catch the sunrise.
I arrived in Cebu Saturday morning and our scheduled trek was in the afternoon. But Sirao has something twisted fate for us, the weather rather.
The weather wasn’t good even in few days before our planned trekking but we still push through to our assembly place at Gaisano Grand Mall. Reyjan and I arrived there first, we waited, we bought foods, we watched how the rain started, went heavy drops to slow, stopped, the sun showed up, rain started again and repeat. Then Reyjan’s colleagues arrived.
There were still slow raindrops and we met our supposed tour guides as well. We were 95% ready, we moved going to the area where we can hail a habal-habal to take us to the real starting point of the trek. We stopped and bought Lechon Manok (roasted chicken) and the moment when we pay for it and the butcher started his work, A BIG HEAVY RAIN started falling.
Yes, as in heavier than we saw while we waited. Heavier to make us stop and told ourselves that – it is not fated for us to trek to Sirao Peak. Not today!
Sad but we need to accept, hell yeah, I need to accept that the reason I went to Cebu didn’t happen at all.
It’s funny! Really. Hahaha
However, we didn’t just waste our afternoon by frowning. We went to one of his colleague’s place and we had our dinner and just ate the roasted chicken that we bought. Night came and we decided to go back to Reyjan’s place.
So since we had a good night rest, we made sure we will make the most of our time the day after that. And guess what? It was a good weather, a great Sunday indeed.
Our itinerary was just going to SM Seaside. And this time, I have more pictures. The SM Seaside Cebu, the Sky Park and me! 🙂 It was Ber-months so there were Christmas decorations already.
We had our lunch at Casa Verde and man, their food is really good. There was an nth time where I was so craving and just day dreaming about that steak. HAHA. So Casa Verde, please come here in CDO. 😉
I had 2 nights and 3 days stay in Cebu and this post is my 2nd-day adventure on this trip, my next post will be about how I made the most of my 3rd day in Cebu September 2016. Even just for 4-5 hours. 🙂
Stay posted! 🙂
